Read tracking lets you know if the email you’ve sent has been read or not and Canary lets you do just that.

Read Tracking in a Specific Email

Open Canary and click on the compose icon to write a new email.

Enable Read Tracking for a specific email by clicking the icon as shown below.

Disable Read Tracking for a specific email by clicking the icon as shown below.

Read Tracking all Emails

To enable or disable Read Tracking, go to Canary Mail - Preferences and select Behaviors tab.

Scroll down to Sending section and enable Track by Default. Doing so will enable Read Tracking for all emails.

If you opt to disable read tracking in all emails, go to the Reading section and check Block Trackers.

Note: Once your email has been read, a notification will be sent to you.

Using the Activity Stream

Click on your Activity Stream icon to track which of your emails have been read.

The Activity Stream window displays all your emails that have been read by the recipient.

Read Tracking on your iOS device

On your iOS app, Read Tracking can be enabled from your Compose window. Enable Read Tracking by clicking on the icon as shown below.

Check which of your emails have been read by clicking on your Activity Stream.

All read emails will be displayed on your Activity Stream.
